CHRISTINA + PAUL I JOURNEYMAN DISTILLERY, THREE OAKS, MICHIGAN I JANUARY 7TH, 2017

Oh Christina and Paul, what can I say.  Best couple, best personalities, best everything.  What a way to kick off our 2017 weddings.  One thing people should know about us, we become a part of your wedding story, as in the weeks coming up to your wedding, you will know us more than you probably want to.  Thankfully, it's been two months since their wedding and Christina still sends me GIF's that knock my socks off.  (GIFS, pronounced JIFS for all you above 30 year olds like me who called it the wrong thing for waayyyyy too long).

Christina and Paul's day started at the GORGEOUS Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, Michigan.  WHAT A VENUE!  Can I get a WOOT WOOT!  A photographer's dream for natural light girls like us, windows galore.  Not only windows, but gorgeous wood floors, bulb lights, exposed brick, need I say more?  From the bridal suite, to the Sycamore Inn just across the street, Journeyman weddings are the place to be.

The florals were so beautiful, provided by Western Girls, and made the most beautiful backdrop on top of an already beautiful backdrop.  One thing you will notice as you scroll along, is an antique crown.  Christina's grandmother wore a crown just like this on her own wedding day and created this replica herself. Her grandmother tumbled the amethysts and HER father helped build the crown for future daughters and granddaughters to wear. The crown pictured here was the worn by Christina's mother and aunt on their wedding days. How amazing is that?!  The crown, added to the look of our little Swedish princess as we have now nicknamed her. The beautiful cake by Wildflour, was topped with a swedish touch as well.

Can we talk about this dress for a minute too?  Christina travelled all the way to the showroom of Kleinfeld's in New York for this beautiful Romona Keveza gown.  Stunning is all I can say.

Christina got ready in the gorgeous bridal suite with all of her bridesmaids, even the bridesmaids suite, I decided, I would be happy to live in.

Paul got ready in the new Inn directly across the street.

Christina did a first look with her Dad that had me crying before it started.

Then, the bride and groom had a first look.

Then the rest was history......

The couple exchanged vows and made the "perfect black and tan" in front of their guests.  After the ceremony, guests dined on the MOST delicious grilled cheese and tomato soup appetizers during cocktail hour provided by CK Catering.  I can't even tell you what else was there, because we couldn't get over those!  The party lasted through the night, Paul making an appearance in a crushed cranberry velvet suit, say that fast 5 times.  They were surrounded by so many good friends and you can tell they are loved, because it was a PARTY.  The night concluded with a smores and walking taco bar, I REPEAT, the night ended with a smores and walking taco bar, and that right there is how I knew I would love this couple for life.

We thank you for letting us be a small part of your day Christina and Paul, we wish you the very best and years of happiness!

xoxo,

Mandy and Wendy
